Office of the Vice-President of University for Mission and Identity
Through this Office, Pontificia Universidad Javeriana strives to create, on a daily and ongoing basis, a "University for Mission and Identity" that can be a conducive space for the integral formation of the Javeriana Educational Community. The objective is to make the University a center that goes beyond scientific instruction or technology training. The purpose is to prepare better human beings, people who are more proficient in scientific knowledge, more skilled to handle technology responsibly, more creative in their artistic performance, more honest in their personal and professional life, more committed to the cause of solidarity and justice, and consistent with Christian values.
The Office of the Vice-President of University for Mission and Identity provides services through four Centers and three Assistance Offices, and provides spaces for Javeriana students to find support for the fulfillment and satisfaction of their academic, social, spiritual, cultural and sporting goals, according to their interests, tastes and peculiarities.
Cultural Management Center
The Center helps the Javeriana Community cultivate its interests, sensitivity and fondness for different cultural expressions, and to enjoy recreational spaces of cultural value and significance. The Center offers the following services: Cultural events, groups and workshops for artistic and cultural expression, and services for counseling and logistics of events.
Psychological Counseling Center
The Psychological Counseling Center works to strengthen the emotional and relationship potential of individuals and groups that belong to the Javeriana Educational Community. Some of the services offered are: Psychological counseling, cycles of learning support, and vocational courses, among others.
San Francisco Javier Pastoral Center
The San Francisco Javier Pastoral Center promotes evangelization in the University and supports members and groups of the Javeriana Educational Community to live and mature their religious beliefs. Some of its services are: Ignatian spirituality, social ministry, celebrations, sacraments, training and leadership, and spiritual counseling.
Javeriana's Sports Training Center
Javeriana University has one of the most modern university sports centers in the country. Its mission is to support the development of the University members’ body potential. Some of the services offered by the Center are: Recreation and sports, fitness, sports training school, and applied sport sciences.
Assistance Office for Promoting Student Groups
This office is a space created for Javeriana students and teachers to meet independently, freely and spontaneously around common goals, such as: Pastimes; tastes and hobbies; activities related to ethnic issues and leadership; activities related to academic affairs; social support; host and volunteer; transcendence and spirituality; and writing, literary and political opinion, among others.
Assistance Office for the Promotion of University Welfare
This office supports, encourages and coordinates plans, projects and actions aimed at promoting the improvement of living conditions of Javeriana Educational Community members. Some of the services available are: survey of living conditions on campus, citizenship and university coexistence, promotion of University for Mission and Identity initiatives, and a comprehensive health program.
Assistance Office for the Promotion of Javeriana Identity
This office strives to strengthen the membership of Javeriana Educational Community members and their commitment to the University objectives. The activities can be grouped into: Publications and designs, lectures and writings, studies and compilations, events organization, and participation in committees.
