School
In the School of Psychology the dialogue is a fundamental practice. As an academic community, the School invites everyone to participate through their thinking and actions, and to contribute to the transformation of reality and the construction of a more inclusive, fair and just country. The School of Psychology has played an important role in the development of the discipline in Colombia. Over the last 40 years, this has been clearly demonstrated by the mark made by the work, study and research of more than 3,200 graduates who are present throughout the country and the world. Lately, the permanent review of its academic programs and the search for quality have helped the School of Psychology to strengthen its academic undergraduate and graduate programs.
Departments
• Department of Psychology. It is the academic unit responsible for the development of Psychology as a scientific discipline and profession in the Javeriana University. The Department fulfills its function through the formation of an academic community dedicated to teaching, research and service. Teaching is organized in several areas: Discipline Basics, Psychobiological, Methodological, Clinical Psychology, Educational Psychology, Social Psychology and Organizational and Labor Related Psychology. Research is developed by 11 research groups from the Department, and six from interschool groups.
Academic Programs
Undergraduate
• Pre-university Course in Psychology. The program allows an approach to Psychology as a scenario for personal, professional and social projection and construction. It generates space for learning about the discipline and taking a close look at the professional work of a Psychologist; moreover, it provides tools to students so they can clarify their professional option.

• B.A. in Psychology. Its main objective is the formation of Psychologists capable of assuming their role as professionals, scientists and citizens, with solid knowledge that allows them to contribute to the advancement of Psychology in a critical and responsible way, and with a high level of commitment to analyze and propose solutions to Colombian social problems. The B.A. in Psychology is a flexible program with an interdisciplinary approach.  
Graduate
• Graduate programs in Psychology offered by the Javeriana University are based on four decades of academic and research experience, and on the consolidation of teaching teams committed to the most urgent problems of the country. The programs exist to prepare professionals from various fields of Psychology at the highest level, and to strengthen the research and development of the discipline. Currently, the School of Psychology offers the Specialization in Cognitive-Behavioral Clinical Psychology as an extension program at the Ibagué University. At the Masters level, it offers the M.A. in Clinical Psychology.

• M.A. in Clinical Psychology. The program focuses on three areas derived from the conceptual and methodological development of those psychological approaches: Psychoanalytic, Cognitive-behavioral, and Systemic. The program combines these developments with the School's commitment and purpose to form Psychologists with clear social responsibility of their academic, scientific and professional work, in regards to the urgent psychosocial needs of the country. The M.A. program, then, focuses on educating integral, responsible and socially committed Clinical Psychologists able to articulate their intervention model with research practices, with the objective of producing knowledge and solving particular clinical cases.

  • Ph.D. in Social and Human Sciences. The program is offered jointly with the schools of Political Sciences, Social Sciences, Communication and Language and Education, and the Instituto Pensar (To Think Institute.) The program proposes four fields of knowledge as problematic axels: 1. Society, state and development; 2. Globalization, sociospatial mobility and international studies; 3. Information society, communication and socioeducational processes; and 4. Cultures, subjectivities and knowledge.  
Continuing Education Program
The objective of the program is to offer alternatives to professionals and institutions to educate and update themselves in the human and scientific fields, while maintaining an academic and administrative criteria of excellence. The program has achieved positioning and leadership thanks to the optimization of the academic and administrative quality of the services, the offering of innovative topics, a wide experience, and the establishment of an excellent team of teachers and consultants. The program offers various formation and development alternatives, among them: seminars and certification courses, institutional courses, corporate programs, and advising and consulting services.
