Curriculum

Objectives of the Program
The curriculum of the engineering programs is based on the System of Academic Credits, where the student can construct their own study plan. The study plan is responsible for combining the interests and strengths of the student, who is supported with academic advice in the construction of each program.

Foundation Areas
Each student is responsible for structuring their study plan with support from the Program Director, their Academic Adviser or professors from the Department of Electronic Engineering. Emphasis Areas
Power Electronics
Adapts, transform and optimize electricity with the goal of supplying energy to other equipment for the control and functioning of electronic machines.

Control and Automation
The use and design of systems and models to control machinery and processes, reducing the necessity of human intervention.

Micro Electronics
Involves circuit and component design at microscopic levels to produce mechanisms and powerful electronic equipment at a reduced size.

Robotics
Circuit and component design for robots. Involves the study of general electronics, image processing, artificial vision and intelligence, telecommunications and control and automation.

Signal Analysis and Processing
Processing, amplifying and interpreting signals with codified information that relate to 2 or more variables.

The transmission and reception of signals and the connections of networks

Bioengineering
The application of the principles and techniques of Electronic Engineering to the fields of medicine and health includes the design and construction of products and sanitary technologies (medical equipment, prostheses, medical tools for diagnosis and therapy) as well as the management of technical resources in a hospital system.

Digital Systems
This involves the processing and storing of digital signals and the combination of mechanisms designed to manipulate physical quantities or information in digital form.
